Refund Policy
My goal is to provide safe and enjoyable hiking experiences. Please read the following regarding refunds.
Refunds for Cancellations by Guide/Platform:
- If I need to cancel a hike due to unsafe conditions (e.g., extreme weather, natural disasters, trail closures), insufficient participant numbers, guide illness, or other unforeseen circumstances making the hike impossible or unsafe to conduct, you will be offered the choice between:
- A full refund of the booking fee paid.
- Credit towards a future hike with me (subject to availability).
- Wander and Hike will facilitate the refund process in these situations based on the option you choose.
Refunds for Cancellations by Customer:
- Refund eligibility when *you* cancel your booking is determined by my Cancellation Policy (please see the separate \"Cancellation Policy\" tab for details on deadlines and applicable refund amounts).
Processing Time:
- Approved refunds will be processed by Wander and Hike according to their standard processing times, typically back to the original payment method.
No Shows:
- Participants who do not show up for the hike at the designated time and meeting point without prior communication according to the Cancellation Policy will not be eligible for a refund.
This policy is specific to hikes guided by [Creator should put their Name/Brand here] and operates within the framework of the Wander and Hike platform\'s terms and refund procedures.
Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy
Plans can change! Here is my policy regarding cancellations initiated by the customer.
To cancel your booking, please [Creator must specify method - e.g., contact Wander and Hike support, cancel via your account dashboard, email me directly at mycreator@email.com]. Cancellations are effective based on the date notice is received.
Cancellation Deadlines & Refunds:
- Cancellations received **more than [XX] full days** before the hike start date: Eligible for a **[Specify, e.g., 100% or 95%] refund** of the booking fee (less any non-refundable platform transaction fees if applicable).
- Cancellations received between **[YY] and [XX-1] full days** before the hike start date: Eligible for a **[Specify, e.g., 50%] refund** of the booking fee.
- Cancellations received **less than [YY] full days** before the hike start date (including no-shows): **No refund** will be issued.

Important Notes:
- Calculating Days: \"Days\" refers to full 24-hour periods before the scheduled start day of the hike.
- Rescheduling: Depending on availability, rescheduling may be possible instead of cancellation; please contact me to discuss options. Rescheduling may be subject to the same deadlines as cancellations.
- Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend all participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage for trip cancellation or interruption.
